ConvoShelf

Privacy policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

ConvoShelf is a Chrome extension that organizes, searches and exports your AI chat conversations.

What it reads

On chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com and grok.com, ConvoShelf reads the chat titles in the sidebar and the messages of the chat you have open, so it can file, search and export them.

Where it is stored

Folders, tags, pins, saved prompts and chat text are stored in chrome.storage.local on your computer. Nothing is uploaded. ConvoShelf has no server and no account.

Network requests

One only: when you press Confirm on a Pro license key, ConvoShelf sends that key and our Polar organization ID to Polar (api.polar.sh) to check it, and re-checks it every few days. Chrome asks your permission first. Payment is handled by Polar under its own privacy policy.

What we do not do

No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no selling or transferring data, no remote code. This website sets no cookies.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete all ConvoShelf data, or remove the extension.

X Bookmarks Shelf, Saved Shelf for Reddit and Watch Later Shelf

The same rules apply to each Shelf extension. They read only the list page you open (your X bookmarks, your Reddit saved page, a YouTube playlist) and store what they read in your browser's local storage. They have no account, no server and no analytics. Saved Shelf's import asks reddit.com for your own saved list while you are signed in; that request goes to Reddit, never to us. The only other request any of them makes is to Polar (api.polar.sh) when you confirm a Pro license key, and Chrome asks you before that.
